The Rules

BIKERANDO A.S.D. organizes on September 7, 2024 an event in the bikepacking formula called”FranceGenaBike Adventure. Unsupported Bicycle Experience in Tuscany”.

Departure: San Rossore Park (Pisa), September 7, 2024.

 

Art.1

Admission conditions

 

The Francigena Bike Adventure is open exclusively to cyclists who:

• We have reached 18 years of age (calendar year), regardless of gender.

• Are in possession of medical sports suitability for the practice of competitive cycling.

• Participants of foreign residence must be in possession of the certificate of eligibility drawn up in accordance with DM18/02/1982 and/or Ministerial Decree 24/04/2013 issued by a sports medical center or a qualified doctor.

• Athletes over 75 years of age (calendar year) must have a medical certificate of competitive fitness or high cardiovascular impact for cycling, not older than six months and in any case valid until September 30, 2024.

• For each participant, both of Italian residence and foreign residence, the certificate of eligibility to participate must be valid until September 30, 2024.

• Both for participants of Italian residence and for participants of foreign residence, it is necessary that the medical certificate provided for by these regulations be uploaded in .pdf or .jpg format in the dedicated area of the event website (www.francigenabikeadventure.com), by September 1, 2024.

• For Italians enrolled in ARI 2024, it is sufficient to communicate their ARICARD 2024 number, always by September 1, 2024.

 

 

Art.2

Vehicle approval and safety

 

lighting. The vehicles must be equipped with a fixed lighting system powerful enough to be visible 100 meters in front and 150 meters behind. The front light must be WHITE, the rear light must be RED. This lighting must be firmly fixed and permanently on the vehicle, even during the day. The lighting must be turned on when visibility becomes insufficient, whether the participant is alone or in a group.

Art.3

Registrations, cancellations and refunds

 

Registration for the Francigena BikeAdventure can be done online on the website www.francigenabikeadventure.com on an individual basis, up to a maximum of 300 participants, in the manner described on the “Registrations” page of this same site.

Accreditation for registrations will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Hotel Casale La Sterpaia (Parco San Rossore — Pisa) from 17.00. For those who show up on the morning of Saturday, September 7, 2024, it will be possible to register at the Sterpaia starting point.

We remind you that at the time of collecting the Travel Card, the following documents will be required:

1. Disclaimer form signed in original and delivered at the time of accreditation (English version).

2. For those in possession of it, a competitive card valid for the year 2024, front and back.

3. Valid identity document.

Cancellation and refund. There is no refund for those who for any reason cannot attend the event, but the registration can be used for the following year's event, subject to any adjustment.

By the date of June 1, 2024, it is possible to transfer the registration to another participant, paying a supplement of €30 for secretarial costs.

If due to force majeure that do not depend on the organization (environmental and/or health reasons) the event cannot take place, even though the registration is not reimbursed, this will be considered valid for the following year's event.

 

Art.4

Duties

 

Every hiking participant during the Francigena Bike Adventure:

• He is on a personal excursion.

• Must strictly comply with and respect the Italian Highway Code and all official road signs.

The organization does not oversee any road traveled or crossed during the event.

The departure is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 07:00 to 12:00 and can take place individually or in small groups.

Each hiking participant provides everything they need to complete the Francigena Bike Adventure.

It is recommended that every hiking participant always travel in a single row. Double rows and the formation of groups that may hinder traffic are not recommended.

Under no circumstances can the organizing company be held responsible for incidents that may occur before, after, and during the event.

Any violation of the rules described above, detected during a check carried out during the course, may result in immediate expulsion from the Francigena Bike Adventure, by withdrawing the identification number.

 

Art.5

Behavior

 

Every hiking participant during the Francigena Bike Adventure must behave ethically correctly.

 

Art.6

Correct enrollment procedure

 

To register for the Francigena Bike Adventure event, each hiking participant must fill out a registration form and pay the participation fee defined by the organizer on time.

 

Art.7

Travel documents

 

Before departure, each hiking participant receives:

- A tracking system that allows the participant to be recorded and geolocated, for the sole purpose of their security.

- A “RoadBook” booklet with the environmental information of the route and with the necessary information for traveling on the track.

- Gpx tracks of route detail.

 

Art.8

Controls

 

There is no control. Everyone can follow and complete the course at the time they deem appropriate, based on their needs. However, checks may be provided for a simple technical verification.

Art.9

Homologation

 

The Francigena Bike Adventure is not a competition and does not involve any drafting of rankings. At the end of the event, the organizing company will draw up an alphabetical list of all the hiking participants who have finished the route.

 

Art.10

Certificates

 

The organizing company will issue a finisher certificate to each hiking participant. The participant will also have the right to receive the fourth part of an art object, specially created exclusively to certify participation in the “Francigena Bike Adventure”, which will be completed with the remaining three pieces following their presence at the next three events, scheduled for the years 2025, 2026 and 2027.

 

Art.11

Statement of awareness

 

Every hiking participant, upon departure, is required to sign the Declaration of Awareness prepared by the organizing company accepting the Francigena Bike Adventure Regulations.

 

Art.12

Acceptance of the Rules and Privacy

 

By registering online, the competitor declares to have read these regulations and unconditionally accepts every point. The participant also expresses consent to the use of his images and data, in accordance with the provisions of the privacy law n. 2016/679 (GDPR). With the consent to the processing of their personal data, the competitor expressly authorizes BIKERANDO A.S.D. to transmit and process their data also by third parties that offer services connected and connected to the Francigena Bike Adventure, such as: those with the purpose of delivering and/or shipping the gadgets purchased by the competitor, drawing up and announcing the lists of results and those for the purpose of photographing or filming the competitor.
